Brainerd School Board Approves Next Round of Building Plans for Nisswa

At the Board of Education meeting on Monday evening, members got a first look at the Design Development plans for Nisswa. Design Development is the planning stage where the building plans are further refined and detailed.

The public is invited to review the building plans and provide input on them by visiting Nisswa’s page on the blueprint181.org website. A computer will also be available for the public to access the plans and provide input in the Welcome Center at the Washington Educational Services Building at 804 Oak Street in Brainerd, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday- Friday. The input submitted by the public will be shared with the Board of Education and the project oversight team for consideration.

The plans for projects at Harrison Elementary in Brainerd and the new elementary school in Baxter are also approaching the Design Development stage, while Brainerd High School is nearing the completion of Schematic Design, that first stage of building plans. Plans for these buildings will be added to blueprint181.org as they are ready to be presented to the Board of Education. Brainerd Public Schools will alert community members as new plans are added to blueprint181.org via social media (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram), isd181.org and an email to those subscribed to the Blueprint 181 newsletter.
